Working for Parents - Working with Employers to Create a Healthy Work-Life Balance

Working for Parents

Working for Parents is a Jobs Board for Parents and Carers (Men and Women) who require Employment with Flexible, Family Friendly Employers.

For many Job Seekers, flexible working is the most impactful and sought after benefit an employer can offer. Flexible working is Gender and Age neutral, it increases work life balance and is becoming recognised as a modern, successful and cost effective business strategy.

Some of the benefits of being a flexible employer include reduced employee absenteeism and stress levels and an increase in employee loyalty. Even more traditional roles in places such as Barristers Chambers are adopting Flexible Working policies!

Working for Parents hopes to see increased Equal Opportunities for men and women in sharing work and caring responsibilities. We believe it should be as acceptable for a man to take time out of the workplace to be a carer as it is for a woman. With fathers being granted an additional 26 weeks paternity leave from April 2011 this is likely to become a reality.

With an increasingly ageing population, many people are becoming carers of adults and children. Therefore, many will need support in combining their roles as carer and employee.

Working for parent’s will showcase jobs which allow for flexible working, including part time job vacancies, working full time, home based working, work at home business and many more opportunities.

Working for parents will help parents and carers in Scotland find work from home, part time jobs, full time jobs and flexible jobs.  We will promote, source and advertise flexible jobs for mums, dads and carers.

Working for parents launches in Scotland in November 2010 to help parents and carers find they type of employment which suits their individual lifesyle, whether that be full time employment or part time employment.  We help parents and carers generate income through work from home jobs, part time jobs, full time jobs and flexible jobs.
